First Wag On Inn post!

Welcome to Wag On Inn's first blog post!

Thank you for visiting our new blog and we hope to keep you updated with what is going on with the rescue efforts of all of our volunteers and foster families.

Yesterday was a big day for Wag On Inn. We were involved with Pilots and Paws www.pilotsnpaws.org.  We rescued 7 dogs that all came from high-kill shelters in the south and were facing certain death.
Rocky was one of the Pilots and Paws dogs. He is a golden mix who was skinny and facing death.  His foster family says that he is a love and is great with children! Rocky will need to be fattened up and neutered before he can go to his forever home.

Wag On Inn was also at the Long Branch Pooch Parade and Festival yesterday. We had six dogs for adoption who are just begging for their forever homes! Like sweet Maiya!
Maiya has been with WOI for several months now, and no one knows why! Everyone just adores her, she is a mush, loves to roll over for that belly rub!! Maiya is 5 years old Aikita , she was a owner surrender and a neglected dog. She was kept in the garage her entire life (why have a dog??). Despite her difficult life prior to this, she is as sweet as can be. She never learned how to play with other dogs properly, so she would do best as an only dog. She just wants to lay back and hang out with you! Who could ask for a better buddy?? Everyone who sees Maiya just loves her, but she still hasn' t found the right home yet. I look forward to blogging about her Adoption!

  1. We are fostering Rocky, and the family that decides to give this beautiful boy his forever home is going to be so lucky! We will hate to see him go, but we know there is a family out there that will give him the great life he deserves.
